What's your best tweet?
Telling people to evacuate before flash flooding devastated parts of Queensland is definitely up there...
Twitter or Facebook?
BOTH! Throw in conventional media engagement techniques, our own website and Youtube channel, and we're talking directly to our public.
Is there someone you want to follow you who doesn't already? If so, who?
We'd like to think everyone in Queensland will follow us, so we can get information to them when they need it most.
Why should we vote for you?
Because we're a small unit who have embraced SM to hopefully safe lives and improve public safety.
Who is the funniest person on Twitter that you follow?
SM is very much a business tool for us, so we're not to familiar with the funny side of Twitter.
Why should people follow you?
Because we're providing up-to-the-minute information, including vital public safety information in disasters. And traffic updates, too.
Why'd you start tweeting?
Because we saw the potential to talk directly to our public, when we needed to, to give them potentially life and death information.
Has Twitter changed your life? If yes, how?
Yes. It has helped us talk directly to our public when we need to, and better service our traditional media clients, as well.
How will the world change in the next year?
Hopefully other emergency services will learn from our experiences, and harness the power of SM.
