How do you use Twitter in your professional life?
As a robot chemist on Mars, I have a pretty sweet day job. I use Twitter to show people the day-to-day operations of searching the Red Planet for past habitable environments.
What's your favorite Twitter app?
Call me old school, but I like the Web interface.

Twitter AND Facebook. You try explaining your "radioisotope thermoelectric generator" in 140 characters.
What was the funniest trend you've seen?
Individual Martian rocks with their own Twitter feeds. I’m looking at you, @N165Mars.
What feature should Twitter add?
Interplanetary trending topics. Seriously. @CassiniSaturn , @NASAJuno and @NASAVoyager will back me up on this.
Who do you wish had a Twitter feed but doesn't?
Tina Fey. (I'm a huge fan.) She says most people on Twitter are boooooooring and you should have to get a license to tweet. To which I say A) I'm a robot, not a person and B) TWEETS FROM MARS! High-fiving a million engineers.

@SteveMartinToGo . Not gonna lie. I do King Tut impressions all the time with my robotic arm. I am one wild and crazy rover!
What is one of the biggest misconceptions of Twitter?
That people only use it to share pictures of their lunches. I've sent more than 1,700 tweets and not one of them includes a sandwich.
