I network as FJ, the blogger, the free-lance writer/editor, public speaker, etc. I also network w/other social workers

Plume for my phone, Tweetdeck for desktop.
Twitter or Facebook?
Twitter. I don't feel as connected with Facebook, though I've been on a long time. Twitter is instant response and engagement.

#WhiteBoo (not just because I created it either)
What feature should Twitter add?
The ability to delete @ replies/mentions. Some people leave nasty comments that shouldn't linger there. We need more control
Who do you wish had a Twitter feed but doesn't?
Oscar the Grouch. I get that Sesame Street occasionally lets him have some shine, but... he's his own grouch.

Oprah Winfrey. Aside from making her laugh daily, I think she'd be inspired to let me have a TV show or write for O mag

I unfollow people every day. I grow weary of negativity and cattiness, bickering and drivel. I just don't want to read it

I feel I've made the best use of social media to connect ppl together so they can support each other in being healthier all around.

What's the most interesting connection you've made through Twitter?
I think the most interesting was being able to appear on Dr Oz via referral of one of my followers and getting to talk abt my tweeting!

Freedom of expression. I love to engage people in discourse about any and everything. Im inspired by those inspired by me.

All. The. Time. I have over 300K tweets. Every now and then, someone makes a rude comment about it. *shrug*

Be yourself, tweet honestly, engage your followers, ignore detractors, be polite, learn how to respectfully disagree, have fun!

I imagine a downturn, unfortunately. Ppl can anonymously attack and treat others poorly. Too many bullies use it.

That it's boring or isn't user friendly. It's actually a GREAT way to connect and engage people all around the world!

Because I'm on Twitter to help people by being incredibly transparent, sharing my experiences/thoughts, and encouraging support.

I have personal boundaries about intimate things I don't discuss. Have to keep something sacred. Everything else is fair game.

By creating/running a clean eating + fitness challenge "#SexyShred" that has engaged over 350 ppl in making health improvements

I don't like to be connected to my family via social media. I do like that it's made it easier to mass communicate with distant friends.
Why'd you start tweeting?
I wanted to interact with my favorite musicians, or at least access their thoughts in real time. I'm a huge music fan!

Yes. Twitter has helped me make professional connections, has helped me grow as a writer, get new jobs, and GREAT friends
What do you wish people would do more of on Twitter?
Use it for good. It's a social medium that connects people across the world. There is power to be built. We ought to do so.
How will the world change in the next year?
The world is going to experience a series of micro-revolutions around the world, primarily focused on liberating women
What are some big Twitter faux pas?
Improperly retweeting people/not giving credit to original tweeters, spamming people with links to terrible music and books...
What will the world be like 10 years from now?
We'll have a zombie president/prime minister in at least 25 countries. I'm certain of it. And it will be awesome.
