What's your best tweet?
I don't know that I have a best tweet but I do quite enjoy this quote that I tweeted: "Dream more while you are awake."
What are six things you could never do without?
Chocolate, my iPhone, coffee, sushi, the Internet and the inner circle people in my life (family, friends, etc.)
How do you use Twitter in your professional life?
I use it to keep people up to date... I have entrepreneurial ADD so it can be difficult to keep up with me. Twitter helps ;)
What's your favorite Twitter app?
I have many... Tweetie 2 from my iPhone, TweetDeck on my computer and TwitPic to name a few...
Twitter or Facebook?
Oh.my.gawd. Hands down, Twitter. Even if Facebook fixed its horrid interface and bulky design, I'd still be a Twitter fan girl.
What was the funniest trend you've seen?
I loved the four words that ruined holiday trending topic... I answered, "We're out of wine."
What feature should Twitter add?
You know, they should work at keeping it quite simple. Adding in features leads you down the path of the Facebook and that's just wrong.
Who do you wish had a Twitter feed but doesn't?
Conan O'Brien... I'd very much like to see how his funny gestures and falsetto Irish song interpretation translate to Twitter.
What are some words or phrases you refuse to shorten for brevity?
I really can't stand shortening you to u but sometimes I do it because I have to. I do love shortening these words: srsly? rly? orly? ;)
Is there someone you want to follow you who doesn't already? If so, who?
It's not a secret that I have a professional crush on @photomatt .. He should be following me. Srsly.
Have you ever unfollowed someone? Who and why?
Yes. Spammers, p0rn bots and Speidi (still not sure why I followed in the first place).
Why should we vote for you?
I am the Internet. Well, iJustine is the Internet but I'm her entrepreneur focused counterpart who is also the Internet.
Terms you wish would start trending on Twitter right now?
To be honest, I don't put too much weight into the trending topics. Most are fanatical and comical but few are influential.
What's the most interesting connection you've made through Twitter?
They've all been amazing but interesting was tweeting W. Brett Wilson late one night & getting invited to a Trump event the next day.
Hashtag you created that you wish everyone used?
The only hash tag that I've really ever created was #askerinlive for a live web cast I do! Feel free to use it if you like ;)
How do you make your tweets unique?
I speak from the heart and in the moment without over-analyzing the Tweet.
What inspires you to tweet?
I like to share my passions and my zest for life with other people. I also love peeking into what makes other people wake up every day.
Ever get called out for tweeting too much?
Oh yes... My birthday was a bit crazy. I got the ban hammer from Twitter on API calls so I was blocked from tweeting for hours.
140 characters of advice for a new user?
Interact and engage with people you are tweeting with. Use the lists early on to categorize your twitter favs and be polite in your tweets!
How long can you go without a tweet?
I've gone quite awhile but it wasn't by choice ;) Generally I panic and freak out when I don't have means to Tweet.
Who do you admire most for his or her use of Twitter?
There are many people whom I admire on Twitter. Generally, it's the people who can concisely, creatively and beautifully Tweet.
Why'd you start tweeting?
I don't really remember the why but I do remember thinking, "Cool. This'll be fun when more people are on it" and it was.
Has Twitter changed your life? If yes, how?
Yes. It's brought about a new appreciation for other people and what they are doing. It's easy to stay in a bubble but Twitter breaks that.
What do you wish people would do more of on Twitter?
Engage.
How will the world change in the next year?
I think people will step into who they truly are as people in 2010. It'll be a huge year for change and what really matters, will.
What are some big Twitter faux pas?
Auto-DM'ing new followers. Following a bunch of people, waiting for the follow and then dropping them all. Overusing hash tags.
What will the world be like 10 years from now?
I think it will be much like it is now but to the nth degree... I think the word "more" is useful in describing the world in 2020.
