What's your best tweet?
The one I have not yet tweeted
What are six things you could never do without?
Passion; people; good fresh air, food and water; friendship; charity; loyalty.
How do you use Twitter in your professional life?
We use it to make ourselves and our town better known. Did you know that the Mayflower called into Dartmouth for repairs?
What's your favorite Twitter app?
We don't use them much, but the integration with Facebook is handy
Twitter or Facebook?
Twitter every time. But they are very different critters
What feature should Twitter add?
Make it easy to modify RTs. If it's easy already then we've missed it, so it can't be that easy!
Who do you wish had a Twitter feed but doesn't?
Agatha Christie, but that would be tough to achieve!
What are some words or phrases you refuse to shorten for brevity?
Hypoteneuse, palimpsest, if, I, execrable. You know, common words like that!
Is there someone you want to follow you who doesn't already? If so, who?
Stephen Fry. His knowledge and National Treasure status and our museumness would fit well.
Have you ever unfollowed someone? Who and why?
Only because we found their tweets were not what we expected. It's rare. When we follow we stay loyal
Why should we vote for you?
We try hard to be not just "us" but to be the best Twitterer about our community, too
Terms you wish would start trending on Twitter right now?
Anything to do with supporting local museums and local communities
What's the most interesting connection you've made through Twitter?
Gosh, that's the same as picking a one of a kind account. But I think new volunteers are the most 'interesting', kind of!
Hashtag you created that you wish everyone used?
#worksbest ideally to tweet about the most successful ways to use Twitter
How do you make your tweets unique?
What is unique in the Twitterverse? We just try to make them interesting.
What inspires you to tweet?
Sunshine, rain, wind, happiness, news, spirit of fun.
Ever get called out for tweeting too much?
We try to limit it to useful or interesting items. So not yet!
140 characters of advice for a new user?
Say who you are, follow folk, tweet generously and more about others than about yourself
How long can you go without a tweet?
Tweeting is a religion for us. Neat sidestep, huh?
What question are we not asking here that we should?
Hahaha! with 29 questions left you ask what else you should be asking! Go you!
How do you imagine Twitter changing?
It will become revenue oriented. How can it not? And thus it will change.
Who do you admire most for his or her use of Twitter?
Admire, that's a big word. It changes from day to day. We admire admirable tweets or campaigns. Individuals? Not so much.
Who is the funniest person on Twitter that you follow?
Oh lordy, we don't follow comedians, we stick to local and museum folk. There are some eccentric folk there, though!
What is one of the biggest misconceptions of Twitter?
That folk are interested in the minutiae of our daily personal lives. Your friends may be. The world is not.
Why should people follow you?
Because we have interesting things to say. Try us out for size and see. Unfollow if we don't match up to your expectations!
Can you name some one-of-a-kind Twitter accounts that you follow?
The thing is, all the Tweeps we follow are one of a kind. It'd be rude to pick out any single one. We pick the folk we follow with care.
How do you decide what to tweet?
We support local, quirky and museum stuff. We tweet about it and RT good stories. that #worksbest for us and is fun, too
Why'd you start tweeting?
To raise our profile and show people worldwide what we have in Dartmouth in our wonderful local museum
Has Twitter changed your life? If yes, how?
We've met new friends and volunteers through twitter. Each new person we know is life changing
What do you wish people would do more of on Twitter?
Be more selfless
How will the world change in the next year?
Thursday nights will be abolished. They are so boring.
What are some big Twitter faux pas?
Politicians!
What will the world be like 10 years from now?
Very similar to today. Technology will move on, but people will not change as much as we think. Look at history!
