Our goal is to have all students who attend Bloomfield College that have Twitter following us. We're getting there!

Every so often we go through and weed out dead accounts. If you've got an egg and haven't tweeted in 2 years, then sorry!

What's the most interesting connection you've made through Twitter?
Every time a newly accepted student posts his or her accept certificate and mentions us, that's the BEST connection!
How do you make your tweets unique?
We relate them directly to our students. We tweet about the things that are important to them and give them shout outs when appropriate!
What inspires you to tweet?
Keeping our students engaged and informed is the most important reason why we tweet!
Ever get called out for tweeting too much?
We actually recently got some props from our students for stepping up our Social Media presence!
140 characters of advice for a new user?
Keep it simple.
How long can you go without a tweet?
We try to tweet between 1-3 times a day, but we do live tweet during big campus events! So usually no longer than a weekend!

As it grows and shapes a generation of students, we must evolve and change with it. Only time will tell...

All of our students who have professional, engaging, and thought provoking Tweets.

Our VP of EM, @AdamCastroEdu, has some good ones!
What is one of the biggest misconceptions of Twitter?
That it's complicated or that it invades privacy. It's not and it doesn't! As with all social media, you get out of it what you put into it!
Why should people follow you?
It's a great resource to know (almost) everything going on at Bloomfield College!
How do you decide what to tweet?
Mostly campus events & reminders, but also congrats to newly accepted students & retweets of fun shout-outs! We want to speak to everyone!
How do you use social media to motivate yourself or others to live a healthier life?
Our Wellness Center provides some great programming that we tweet about on a regular basis.
Why'd you start tweeting?
To engage our students and provide a resource for information
Has Twitter changed your life? If yes, how?
We can now reach students on a medium that they use and are connected to! Students don't go to offices to ask questions, they ask Twitter!
What do you wish people would do more of on Twitter?
Tweet positive things instead of always negativity.
How will the world change in the next year?
Bloomfield College will continue to grow and educate amazing students!
What are some big Twitter faux pas?
Using so many abbreviations and slang terms that no one knows what on Earth you're talking about
What will the world be like 10 years from now?
Hopefully a more understanding and thoughtful place
