The Shorty Interview with Ayn Rand Bot
What are some words or phrases you refuse to shorten for brevity?
My policy is never to shorten a word or phrase in the quotations themselves. I do use ellipses sometimes in order to make a quotation fit.
Has Twitter changed your life? If yes, how?
Yes, because it has allowed me to meet others who share my values, and also to realize how much Rand could pack into 140 characters.
Ever get called out for tweeting too much?
Early on I was tweeting out quotations once every half hour. Too much! Recently I got called out for thanking my followers for nominations.
What do you wish people would do more of on Twitter?
Follow, retweet and discuss quotations from the Bot, of course. I do think the Bot has encouraged discussion of Rand's ideas, which is great.View Ayn Rand Bot's complete Shorty Interview

One day in early July, 2011, I was on Twitter, when I noticed that someone I follow had retweeted something from an account called @TSElibot. I was unaware of there being anything similar for my favorite author, Ayn Rand, and so I registered the account @AynRandBot. At first I tweeted from the account sporadically, whenever I found a good quotation of appropriate length. I now have assembled a database of over 500 quotations, from which I tweet randomly. The response has been fantastic.
