SketchShe: LSB Mashup

Objectives

Spike wanted us to create a fun, music-filled, high-energy digital piece to promote season three of the mega-hit series LIP SYNC BATTLE. The goal was to find influencer talent in the music space who could build up excitement for the season and take what makes LSB great, fun performances of legendary songs, and replicate it into a viral digital promo piece.

Strategy and Execution

When looking for the perfect influencers to help us create the ultimate LSB digital piece, we had to look no further than global viral superstars SketchShe. The web-based group consisting of Shae-Lee Shackleford, Lana Kington, and Madison Lloyd creates their own lip syncing videos from the comfort of their car, and we knew we could harness their talent for the refined art of lip syncing and their huge digital following to get people hyped for LSB's new season.

The ladies from SketchShe and the team created one of our best videos yet, an epic mash up video showcasing ten of the biggest moments from the history of the show, from Joseph Gordon Levitt's take on "Rhythm Nation" to Olivia Wilde's "Bad Blood" and beyond. With a mix of re-created and original choreography, tons of costume changes, and the mastered art of lip-syncing, SketchShe knocked their performance out of the park!

Results

Both Spike and SketchShe were thrilled with the video, which racked up thousands of views on both Spike's and SketchShe's YouTube channels, as well as a major presence on Facebook. The mash-up got viewers excited about the upcoming season of Lip Sync Battle, and SketchShe brought new viewers to the show.
