With a renewed focus on video, for the 2016 iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina, iHeartRadio partnered with Telemundo to develop an innovative video concept to feature on Instagram, which would increase conversation and engagement surrounding the event.
To embody the event's brand kit and design, iHeartRadio and Telemundo constructed a large heart shaped build out that was located at the social stop, an area backstage designated for artists to participate in social activations during the show. Utilizing a designated camera operator and editor, musicians would step into the staging area and within minutes see a finalized slow motion video that could be shared across their Instagram accounts. The musicians were instructed to dance, smile and have fun as the camera operator performed slow but significant techniques to produce the unique videos.
The videos generated over 2MM views on Instagram and helped contribute to the 3.7 billion social impressions at the 2016 iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina. The artists also enjoyed the content capture so much that Enrique Iglesias, Nicky Jam, Juanes and more shared the content on their own accounts.
