Called the Robert Capa of dog photography by The Huffington Post, 27-year-old Elias Weiss Friedman of The Dogist had a super-fun, puppy-filled book tour in 2015 to promote his coffee table title, The Dogist: Photographic Encounters with 1000 Dogs. All colors, sizes, and breeds are included on his Instagram, which collects eye-level portraits and little snippets of each dog’s respective personality traits. Friedman’s the master of the candid animal shot, often wearing kneepads under his pants just in case, with an arsenal of three distinct barking noises he can reproduce on cue.
