myAudi Tutorials

Objectives

As a new service on the Audis owner platform MyAudi a series of films should educate Audi drivers on maintenance of their cars and the use of Audi accessories.

Strategy and Execution

Traditional tutorial films are unattractive and boring. To change that and bring some Vorsprung into the format, we established the Audi Le Mans Pit crew – the world's best mechanics - as testimonials for our films.

Laid out as a real web series that has its own visual identity, the crew explains car maintenance with dramatic camera work, super slow motion sequences – to capture and explain the actions in every detail – and a layer of explanatory motion design. All this told in individual storylines for every episode that meet the high-tech-aesthetics of the films with a twinkle in the eye.

Results

Due to their huge success with the original myAudi audience the films were also released on social media to form an attractive content both for car owners and for fans of the brand. The Pit Stop Crew were established as the brand's new service-ambassador - and the series will be continued.
