Theresa Caputo's unique ability to speak to those who have passed on to the other side has left fans of TLC's Long Island Medium clamoring for a reading with her - resulting in a years-long waiting list for readings since fans first connected with her on the hit TLC show in 2011. On Sunday, October 6, TLC gave fans the chance to meet with Theresa and her larger-than-life personality as they launched their "Tweet To Win Live" campaign, asking viewers to Tweet with the hashtag #LongIslandMedium during the Long Island Medium season premiere for a chance to win a reading with Theresa. Theresa randomly selected winners during live segments within the commercial breaks and announced them live on air. Additionally, select fan tweets were integrated into the broadcast. The Long Island Medium Tweet to Win Live event not only brought fans a chance to connect with the beloved Long Island Medium, but it seamlessly integrated an explosive social media campaign into the live broadcast. The October 6, 2013 premiere was the most-watched and most-tweeted TV program in cable primetime (excluding sports) that night, according to SocialGuide. The episode drew in TLC's most social night ever, with more than 2.6 million viewers according to Nielsen. More than 785,000 Tweets about the show were seen 24.5 million times, according to SocialGuideā€™s Nielsen Twitter TV Ratings. In all, the hashtag #LongIslandMedium was used more than 621,000 times that day, according to SocialGuide. The event was such a success that TLC will be hosting a similar event for the March 9, 2014 premiere of Long Island Medium.
