Objectives

Oh My Disney and the Disney Blog network officially launched in February of 2013. Our Blog network is built off the WordPress platform. Using custom designs, plugins, and coding, our team of engineers and designers built the blogs from the ground up. All of the Oh My Disney editorial and video is created in-house. The same team that manages Disney and Disney/Pixar’s social presence across platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Pinterest, Google+) is also responsible for what you see on Oh My Disney. Having a centralized editorial team allows us to maintain a higher standard of writing quality and manage the distribution of content across our social platforms. From ideation to execution, the team has churned out hundreds of original articles since launch without ever having to outsource the writing, publishing, or brainstorming to a third party. Oh My Disney represents a unique opportunity for Disney to re-tell our classic stories in a voice that speaks directly to digital natives. Humor and heart come together in each piece of content created by the writing team. The editorial process is nimble enough to capture the zeitgeist of what is happening in the moment, yet is still entrenched in the classic Disney stories our fans have come to know and love throughout the years. Offering original and shareable content through a variety of listicles, videos, GIFs and images, Oh My Disney is the ultimate digital destination for a daily dose of Disney. With over 22 million page views and nearly 13 million unique visits since the launch, Oh My Disney has soared with little to no paid media efforts. Guests spend an average of five minutes per session engaging with articles, videos, and artwork. More important, our content regularly receives thousands of social shares on each article, fueling the viral engine of the internet.
