Today, an 18 year old has already had more conversations with more people than their grandparents had in their entire lifetime. According to Nielsen’s 2013 Global ‘Trust in advertising’ survey, more than 84% of people trust word of mouth recommendations from friends and family; more than any form of marketing. 1000heads help brands to understand the power of conversation. In 2000 digital and social media were about to completely change the way we have conversations with others (this was long before Facebook and Twitter existed, and prior to the likes of early social networks such as MySpace and Friends Reunited). In 2000 1000heads pioneered Word of Mouth marketing with a digital focus. Since then we’ve grown to become a global team of 100 people working from four offices and revenues approaching £10mil. 1000heads work with different client teams, from Marketing, Social and Content, Comms, Brand, CRM, Research, HR and Leadership. By helping brands to understand conversation we can develop ways to improve offerings and influence it – amplifying positivity, inspiring the indifferent through disruption and reducing any negativity through action. By focussing on building conversations, we help our clients to reach new audiences - those who wouldn’t normally be exposed to their brand through traditional means - and take their consumers on a journey that is much more powerful and comes from a more authentic place than the journeys they’re used to experiencing with brands. Everything we do is built for the client and for the project, starting with insights, developing with creative thinking and executing with bespoke methods. 1000heads have a clear set of company values - Be passionate, Be bold and Be brave, Live In tomorrow, Do the right thing. These are part of the culture of the agency and led to ‘1000smiles’ a day held on the anniversary of the London 2012 Olympic closing ceremony for the the company to go out into London and create 1000 smiles for the local community returning a bit of Olympic spirit, while bonding as a team and putting professional skills into action. Our reputation has been built on our ability to combine specialist digital and social knowledge with a clear understanding of how conversations (especially in the digital era) impact the growth of our clients’ businesses. We have consistently demonstrated this delivering award winning, effective campaigns for a range of clients across industries and markets, many of whom return to 1000heads to help support their businesses over many years and across varied projects. From a head office in London, 1000heads New York and 1000heads Sydney have shown significant growth since 2011, and in 2014 1000heads launched 1000heads Dubai. We offer ‘always on’ 24 coverage for all clients and make the best use of skills and partnerships across the world. In the past 12 months we have worked in over 50 markets for over 50 clients, delivering 100+ campaigns and no fewer than 10,000 pieces of content. 1. Consistently effective work 2. We look to make that easier and provide a coherent, effective approach to marketing that clients can rely on and build their other activities around. We’ve built an outstanding team, we’ve deployed them around the world to help us learn and grow, we’ve explored different ways of working and honed in on works best and we’ve never lost sight of the simple truth that people are the most important thing both to our business and to helping our clients to get their story out into the world. Many agencies talk about understanding social media; 1000heads started to understand social media before the world knew what social media was. 1000heads has shown consistently that an approach built around the discipline (WOM) before the channel delivers real business results.
