Club Enerji was established as an Energy & Resource Conservation Club to bring about a first-hand realization of the energy crisis and resource scarcity in the country and help in the effective management and conservation that has become the need of the hour. School children were identified as drivers to contribute to curb the wasteful usage of power, fuel, water while promoting the need to reduce, reuse and recycle and educate society on the need to conserve energy and natural resources.Over the years, the programme has evolved, taking the debate to a higher level, from focusing only on energy & resource conservation, to building active and responsible citizens capable of positively influencing the future of India, and of the world. To this end, various other components have been added to its scope, while keeping the conservation emphasis strong - including moral & civic values, climate change preparedness & disaster management, and active citizenship.
