Nikole Hannah-Jones is the award-winning investigative journalist and key contributor to the "1619 Project," a historical recokoning with the long shadow of American slavery. As the podcast host, Nikole told a gutting and essential story of American race relations from the arrival of the first slave ship 400 years ago until now. She’s also the co-founder of the Ida B. Wells Society, a foundation for journalists looking to further social justice and equality. Beyond her scholarship, she’s also an outspoken leader on social media. She has nearly 200K followers on Twitter, where she analyzes history and current events with an incisive eye.
