Trace Lysette

Nominated in LGBTQ+

About Trace Lysette

You may recognize Trace Lysette from her role as Shea on Amazon’s Transparent. The transgender actress has been part of groundbreaking storylines on the show that help to bring transgender relationships—and their struggles—into the light of day. But her true courage showed when she came forward about the harassment she faced from co-star Jeffrey Tambor. Her #MeToo moment resonated, with the story leading Tambor to leave the show. But Trace had more positive reasons to celebrate 2017 as well, posting a #2017bestnine for her 55K+ Instagram fans that included her feature article in Paper magazine and appearances at the Grammys and Golden Globes. Trace’s example inspires hope in so many people across the LGBTQ+ spectrum.
