Finalist in Web Series

About The Breakdown

The Young Turks has become one of the most important news shows in recent memory, with its founders launching the TYT Network to expand their offerings and reach new audiences. With The Breakdown, it seems they found the perfect way to mix righteous outrage with honest reporting. The popular web series is co-hosted by TYT members Hasan Piker, Francis Maxwell, Hannah Cranston, Kim Horcher and Brett Erlich, who expertly dissect news stories to reveal the complexities, nuances, and hypocrisies inherent in so many of today’s controversies. Although the subject matter is serious, The Breakdown always brings the appropriate amount of sass and sarcasm to each of its videos on TYT’s Facebook and YouTube accounts.
