Objectives

The objective of FOX Sports' brand new state-of-the-art 360 digital studio is to revolutionize the way sports content is produced, presented, and experienced. This cutting-edge facility aims to provide viewers with an immersive and dynamic sports entertainment experience like never before. Through innovative technology and top-notch production capabilities, FOX Sports delivers engaging and informative coverage of sporting events, captivating fans worldwide. The studio's advanced features and interactive elements enable real-time analysis, stunning graphics, and enhanced storytelling, fostering a deeper connection between athletes, fans, and the sports they love. FOX Sports is committed to pushing the boundaries of sports broadcasting, setting new standards for the industry.

Strategy and Execution

The strategy was state of the art versatility.  Tasked with covering such major events as the Super Bowl, FIFA World Cup, and World Series, the new FOX Sports digital studio is remarkably versatile due to its advanced technological capabilities and adaptable infrastructure. Its state-of-the-art equipment, including high-resolution displays, real-time analytics tools, and interactive graphics, seamlessly accommodates a wide range of sporting events and formats. This versatility allows for dynamic coverage, enabling in-depth analysis, instant replays, and captivating visual enhancements tailored to specific sports. Moreover, the studio's modular design and flexible production setup empowers FOX Sports to swiftly adapt to evolving broadcasting needs, making it an ideal platform for delivering engaging and comprehensive sports content across various disciplines, ensuring an immersive experience for viewers.

The stage area is loaded with eight movable LED walls, a movable LED stage, a movable interview stage, and even an LED floor that can move into position for multiple shooting locations. Selected LED walls are in vertical format to support both display of and creation of content for vertical-friendly platforms, such as TikTok, Instagram Stories, and other mobile-first distribution methods. All LED displays are from Planar. There are currently 10 identified shooting positions on the stage, but, with so much of the furniture and mobile LED surfaces, the possibilities are virtually endless in how and where to produce content.

Results

The new studio has been up and running since June 21, 2023, and is home to a robust lineup of premium digital properties featuring some of the network's biggest on-air personalities, including The Joel Klatt Show: A College Football PodcastThe Skip Bayless ShowState of the Union with Alexi Lalas, All Facts No Brakes with Keyshawn Johnson, The NFL on FOX Podcast with Dave Helman and Flippin’ Bats with Ben Verlander and Alex Curry

The new studio has allowed FOX Sports digital to go from filming 16 shows per week to 30+ which has led to an astounding 480 Million views in 2023 across all formats.
